NEW SYSTEM REQUESTING APPOINTMENTS

From Tuesday 1st April we will no longer be using Ask My GP. Instead we are changing to a system called Accurx which integrates with our existing clinical system. You can use this system via our website without having to request login details or via the NHS app.
You do not need to rush to add your request at 8am. The system is currently open for appointments, admin and prescription requests from 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
All requests will be triaged by a clinician and allocated a priority which will be either same day, or routine up to 2 weeks. An appointment will be booked according to the priority assigned.

Lindum Medical Practice

Appointments advice

We use a system called Accurx which is an easy and fast way to ask for any kind of help from the practice.

  • Available Monday to Friday 08.00-18.30pm
  • We will usually get back to you on the same day (after 13.30pm it might be the next day)
  • You can request a particular doctor (so long as they’re working)
  • You can choose to be contacted by the surgery by telephone, secure message/email or video call
  • Video consultations are provided by our own doctors through a secure link to your mobile, tablet or laptop for no extra charge
  • You can register for Accurx, without any paperwork

If you prefer to phone, one of our receptionists will take a few details about your problem or request and then pass these to the GP via Accurx. However you choose to get in touch, your GP will get in contact with you quickly and either sort out your problem on the phone, by secure message, or arrange to see you the same day, or another day if that’s more convenient.

Please note you can no longer book a GP appointment using our previous online appointment system.

Accurx is available to all our patients, and you can use it to ask about your children or other people you care for (if they are registered with us).

That’s it – simple and straightforward!

We are encouraging everyone who has access to a computer, smart phone or tablet to use Accurx:

  • it saves you time
  • really ill patients don’t have to wait for urgent slots at the end of surgeries
  • GPs can manage their time more effectively, booking any follow-up appointments you might need

DNA’S

Appointments made but patients simply don’t turn up without cancelling and giving us the opportunity to offer this to another patient who needs it. This problem is ever increasing for us and we have to tackle it.

PLEASE note that we have to adopt the following procedure and action will be taken. Should a patient not attend more than 3 times in a six month period they will be asked to leave the practice and removed from our list. This rule has always applied however we have been reluctant to action it. I am sorry but we now have to for the benefit of all of our other patients.
